Created and performed in 2018 for CreateArt Performance Platform in Brooklyn, New York. balatro, a term from ancient Rome that means professional jester or buffoon, is a solo that dives into the absurdity of being the entertainer.  Exhaustion, achieved through repetition and high energy movement, is a key element to communicate and be transparent with the audience that the journey of the performer is not an easy one.
