Periculum

A risk, to make room for yourself

A risk, to make space for others and be seen

A risk, to dance without limitations

A risk, to move away from our old confinements

Created at Barnard College in New York for the Senior Thesis Festival. Periculum, takes inspiration from The Seven Virtues by renaissance painters Peiro del Pollaiuolo and Sandro Botticelli, most notably Botticelli's painting of the virtue of Fortitude.  All the virtues are women, portrayed seated on thrones; observed daily by many.  Through the idea of risk, we explore what it would be like for Fortitude to come to life, leave the throne, and observe the world around her.
